PAUL REISER DELIVERS COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS FOR UCLA'S SCHOOL OF THE ARTS AND ARCHITECTURE; GLORYA KAUFMAN RECEIVES UCLA MEDAL

WHO: Paul Reiser will deliver the commencement address to UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture graduates, and Glorya Kaufman will be awarded the UCLA Medal, the university’s highest honor, to be presented by Executive Vice Chancellor Wyatt R.Hume.
WHAT: Degrees to be conferred: 214 Bachelor of Arts, 30 Master of Arts, 29 Master of Fine Arts, 14 Master of Music, 38 Master of Architecture I, 30 Master of Architecture II, 6 Master of Arts in Architecture, 5 Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy, 18 Doctor of Philosophy, 14 Doctor of Musical Arts. The doctorate hooding ceremony will take place on Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. in Royce Hall.WHEN: 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 17.
WHERE: Wilson Plaza (formerly known as Janss Plaza), UCLA campus.
BACKGROUND: Mrs. Kaufman is being honored for her altruism and philanthropy, which extends from the arts and education to research and medical science. Her recent $18 million gift to UCLA will enhance the renovation of the university’s historic Dance Building, which has been renamed Glorya Kaufman Hall.
Reiser starred in “Mad About You,” the NBC series he co-created. His performance in the show, which he also produced, earned him Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award. Born and raised in New York City, Reiser majored in music (piano and composition) at the State University of New York at Binghamton. A resident of Los Angeles, he serves on the Board of Visitors of the School of the Arts and Architecture at UCLA.
