| DELIA BROWN ’00 had a solo exhibition, Felicity and Caprice, at D’Amelio Terras, New York, last spring.
Curated by LISA HENRY ’01 and featuring the works of KIANGA FORD ’03 and BRENNA YOUNG BLOOD ’06, Blacks In and Out of the Box exhibited at the California African American Museum through last fall. The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art presented the first solo museum exhibition of FLORIAN MAIER-AICHEN ’01 at MOCA Pacific Design Center last summer. JODI BATAY-CSORBA ’04 is the project designer of Club Nokia at L.A. Live, which received a 2007 AIA/Next L.A. Design Award. |
KODY KELLOGG ’04, project designer at Daly Genik Architects, received a 2007 AIA/LA Next Award for his work on the Palms Ave. team.
Last February, Big Production, an exhibition at Gallery 40000 in Chicago, featured a performance and installation by RYAN LIEU ’04 . Lieu is also a recipient of a U.S. Student Fulbright Award in sculpture for 2007-2008. PEG office of landscape + architecture, of which KEITH VAN DERSYS ’04 is a principal, has been named a 2007 I.D. magazine Design Distinction Award winner for the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning student lounges. Last summer, BRIAN BRESS ’06 exhibited his work in a solo exhibition
at Zach Feuer Gallery, New York.
EVAN HUGHES ’06 will be making his Carnegie Hall debut in January, performing in the Marilyn Horne Foundation’s concert presentation of “The Song Continues.” This past fall, he performed at Philadelphia’s Prince Hall in “Le nozze di Figaro” with Curtis Opera Theater. The Greater L.A. Master of Fine Arts (GLAMFA) exhibition features the best graduate work from 13 schools and 55 artists. The exhibition last fall featured the work of TYLER ADAMS ’07, SUE HUANG ’07, ANNIE LAPIN ’07, EPHRAIM PUUSEMP ’07 and PASCUAL SISTO ’07. KHORI DASTOOR ’07 was awarded the Principal Artist Residence contract at the San Jose Opera. After returning from the Lake George Opera Festival in New York, where she performed the lead soprano role of Gabrielle in Offenbach’s “La Vie Parisienne,” she joined the San Jose Opera.
